Not good for Darth Bannon. Like a vampire, he does his best work in the dark, out of the spotlight.
His dark, distorted view of society is being repudiated by the majority of Americans and Trump will have to offer Bannon as a sacrifice to calm the waters.
At least he has that hobby of his to fall back on.
Bannon Schmannon…Great-in-Their-Own-Mind Leaders always have competing voices in their upper echelons of advisors and administrators, not just in their heads. Even Adolf Hitler had infighting amongst his various Nazi Generals and mass murdering friends, the better for them to compete for his attention. And look how well that (almost) turned out. Those guys controlled all branches of government, too, for nearly 1000 years…well, about 12 years, really, but that’s just a rounding error.
Let’s not forget that Hitler also condemned the hatred from many sides… the Jews, Gypsies, Homosexuals, Allies, Commies, Social Democrats, etc.
To the extent that Tramp thinks deeply about these things, it may actually be better to keep Bannon close because he probably fears a Breitbart/Mercer Backlash if that particular strain of awfulness is cut loose.
So Trump dumps Bannon? Bannon goes back to Breitbart (or somewhre similar) and spends the rest of his days tearing Trump to bits. Right?
We don’t know what Putin has on Trump. But we do know what Bannon could (and would) do to Trump. Right?
Bannon is a symptom. The disease is Trump.
An interesting comment on that proces is in “The Pidgeon Tunnel”, by John Le Carre, who mentions his disappointment with the number of Nazi followers, who ended up in the post-war administration, due to their education or administrative skills. He, a Germanophile, worked as MI6 agent in Bonn, and followed German politics closely in the post-war period.

The one, maybe only good thing, is no dog-whistling, no subtleties or niceties with Trump.
Republicans have become quite skilled at dog-whistling to their base while appealing to independents and moderates to win elections. Trump is forcing them to basically speak up and pick a side. Offend the base or force “moderates” to look at themselves in a mirror and see if they like the reflection.

The ‘Unite the Right’ rally has set off a sort of scrum among neo-Nazis (nephew-Nazis?). Some of them are embracing Donnie’s obvious dog whistles while others are calling him a cuck and demanding even more fealty. PotUS needs to keep Bannon around to quash the dissenters, and he obviously loves Miller’s writing. The most he’s likely to do is eject Gorka from whatever shadow role he currently occupies, but he’ll still be a member of the Reservoir Derps.
Kind of OT – I just checked out the account Josh mentioned in his "I’m Not The Angry Racist They See In That Photo” post. It keeps id-ing those f* Nazis. Seems one has lost his job as a result.

Kudos to Josh, but we were all laughing about it last night.
The nasty little Nazis are already whining about “doxxing” but they chose to attend a KKK rally without their hoods. The First Amendment protects free speech; it doesn’t exempt you from being judged by your peers, neighbors, and employers.
This is the consequence I wanted to see – those hateful racist midgets should be exposed.
