Discussion: Lawyers For Stormy Daniels And Michael Cohen Battle On CNN (VIDEO)

So why did Cohen find it necessary to send his lawyer on to argue on his behalf? Too busy kissing Trump’s ass?? Making threats on other witnesses? What a waste of time. As @earlgreyparty noted above, TV “testimony” ain’t worth shit. It’s just more “eyeballs” for CNN.

Tump’s lawyers ALWAYS start at the “Pounding on the Table” phase, totally skipping the whole “Lawyering” steps prior to it.

That’s what “Mob Lawyers” do.

I’ll catch the episode featuring the lawyer for Cohen’s lawyer.

“If Michael Cohen is such a stand-up guy, where is he?”

Michael Cohen… a stand-up guy? Says who?

The place for Trump to sign. Was not signed. So the document is invalid.

Gotcher. The Dallas Morning News stories I scanned left that salient fact out.

But, you can still have some fun trying to.

I agree - I have posted this a couple of times on other threads. Claims by Trump’s people that he knew nothing of the agreement effectively kill it based on a number of theories. I think that the $130K would go back to the sham LLC and it would be treated as if the contract never existed.

Stormy Daniels is an aged-out former porn star, who’s making one last go-round on the strip club circuit. She and her lawyer are very nearly the opposite of a Gold Star family, but the unfolding shitshow is basically the same. Rump and his people just can’t keep their pie holes shut, even when keeping them shut is the most blistering, obvious, smart thing to do. Every passing day, they give her another free ad for the Make America Horny Again tour.

There is also that striking resemblance between Stormy and Ivanka that could be a latent psychological factor here. Stormy is more classy, has more character and judgment, however.

Notice how Cohen’s lawyer indulged in the same kind of over the top bombast and BS that Trump loves and uses. I can imagine where similar whining, combined with exaggeration and outright lies, not to mention the inability to listen, answer a question directly or focus may have proved beneficial to Trump and his lawyers in some of his strong arm negotiations when he was a ‘successful’ business man. If I were opposing counsel for a vendor or other fairly small victim of Trump I might tell the client it’s just not worth the money to fight. Even for a bank, the cost in trying to deal with this kind of crap can eventually lead to settlement.
They’re in the big leagues now and the game is different. The audience is larger and the spotlight shines brighter. It’s not just about money and claiming victory when you successfully cheat someone. Whether it’s Mueller or Stormy’s lawyer, the bloviators are being confronted by lawyers who actually know the law, know how to make a cogent argument and have more then a modicum of self-control.
I hope that some of the lawyers shilling for Trump have their licenses pulled when the collapse comes. All around, I hope this turns out to be the ultimate reality show.
