Discussion: Trump: I Think Dems 'Will Be Blamed' For My Decision To Sabotage O'Care

Where are all the interviews with the people who obtained lifesaving care because of the ACA and may now lose it? Reporters allow Rs to talk about “all the people harmed by O care” without correcting them. Or, without pointing out that when Rs talk about “Obamacare imploding” they are referring to the Individual exchanges which is about 8% of the market. The way it’s discussed, there are probably people that think that 1/2 of counties in the US have one or no insurers. It’s really quite maddening.

For that matter, why don’t Democrats put together some of the many people who were helped–it would help remind voters that Democrats gave them the thing that Republicans are trying to take away. That would include the pre-existing conditions part, the essential benefits, the fact that most people get subsidies for those "skyrocketing premiums)

Thank you kindly for saying so. I genuinely believe in the fundamental decency and goodness of America in spite of our current woes and tribulations.

The stones on this guy are only outsized by his ignorance of how Karma works.

I remember when Bill Clinton was running for president and his team, headed by the not-so-politically-correct James Carville, set up a “war room” where they constructed immediate and hard-hitting responses to every Republican criticism. It was quite effective, and it got their message out there constantly.

There’s no reason why the Democrats can’t add more muscle to their messaging. I’d like to see them go back to the 50-state strategy, too.

Trumpcare.

A really bad system that’s not his fault. He’s just running it into the ground, because it doesn’t hurt anyone he cares about.

Christian values, or so conservatives say.

Psychopaths and sociopaths are identical. When I quit criminal law the then-current moniker was antisocial character disorder. All the same thing.

@erik_t Very fundamentally, he doesn’t know what stocks are! It’s mind-boggling.

Don’t forget, this asshole managed to run a fucking CASINO into the ground. That takes a special kind of stupid.

I just heard something amazing on MSNBC’s Laurence O’Donnell show: David Jolley, a Republican Congressman from Florida who lost to Charlie Crist last year, said the best hope for the country would be for the Democrats to take the House next year and provide a check to Trump.

He noted, “The Republicans have no discernible agenda worth saving, and the Democrats can provide a check on Trump that the Republicans so far have not offered.”

I was stunned.

That’s it in a nutshell. Screw the “electoral map” for the Senate, the gerrymandering, Trump seats vs Hillary seats. People gotta get out and vote, en masse, and throw the gop out of Congress and the State Houses, impeach Trump, Pence, Trump’s Cabinet, and Gorsuch, install Nancy Pelosi as the President, then have a real election in 2020 and elect who I don’t know, somebody real smart who doesn’t want to be President but really cares about our country and people, and can handle the job. Maybe John Kerry could take a swing, or some damn liberal governor from somewhere, I just don’t know who the Democrats have, but we need a liberal Clinton/Gore.

You don’t think at all, Donald. It’s one of your most obvious handicaps.

This has been our problem for, what 30 years now? Especially since 9/11. Air American couldn’t last more than a year or two? And Rachel Maddow is no Alex Jones. THIS is the biggest obstacle in the path of progress.

It will always be an obstacle. We’re not authoritarians. We’re critical thinkers, and don’t seek strongmen to solve our problems. You’re right. Rachel Maddow is no Alex Jones, and that’s a good thing.

I wonder what Tillerson is thinking about while listening to this. “I was wrong to call him a f__ing moron, he has lost his mind if he thinks voters are not going to blame this on his decision.” He is certifiable. I wonder when the rest of these guys will grow a pair.

Hey, now! You’re using logic? That’s crazy talk.

Jolley has been adamant all along that Rs in congress must do something to contain Trump, so I’m not that surprised. Jolley would make a good conservative Democrat. He seems to be OK on social issues and has a conscience.
