I just heard an interview with Chris Hughes, co-founder of Facebook, who is on a UBI-like kick, big time. He thinks that as a mitigating factor for robotics and automation we are still 20 years out. But as an economic equalizer for wealth distribution its time is now. Of course, and he acknowledges this, in a political environment that allows for one party to triple down on trickle down this is not going to happen. No surprise that his counter arguments are very strong.
