“Will you accept the findings of the Mueller probe as legitimate, @JohnCornyn?” asked Washington Post reporter Greg Sargent.

“Makes sense to me to wait to see what they are first,” Cornyn said.

Cornyn does not make even the feeblest attempt to disguise his intentions.

Yep. Legitimacy means one particular outcome. How’d that work out last time, you sons of bitches?

Sen. Cornholio, pretty sure you’re old enough to fondly remember those wacky Tea Party folks who wreaked havoc back in 2010 with their simultaneous anger and stupidity. We’re more angry and less stupid.

Does Cornyn intend to fire every FBI agent because in order to shut down the investigation that’s what would have to happen. Firing the republican who’s leading the effort won’t be enough.

Since nothing is OT when the trumPP name is involved, there’s this. He’ll be bringing his special magic to the campaigns of Rs running in 2018. David Axelrod and other Democratic strategists say bring it on.

“He absolutely is turbocharging the opposition. My guess is most of the people running for office in 2018 are not going to want to cleave too closely to him,” said David Axelrod, former president Barack Obama’s chief strategist. “He torques up both sides, but he torques up the opposition more. He is the greatest organizing tool that Democrats could have.”

@ncgirl741 They can open their stupid yaps and empty the contents of their empty heads on Twitter, doesn’t mean they can make it happen.

The GOP already has one foot in the grave, and its other one is standing on a banana peel.

If they cut off Mueller’s probe, it’s INTO THE STREETS!

What does the Senator from Texas have to hide? He apparently has chosen BLOTUS over the Country. He could have been a hero and patriot but instead will go down with Trump.

Some Fox bimbo announced “10,000 texts” between two of Mueller’s investigators have been exposed, which led to their being removed from the investigation. Bimbo was off by 9,625, but there’s no correcting it. .

Shorter Cornyn: “If Mueller exonerates Trump, I will accept the findings. If not, he’s a partisan hack.” The only thing that would satisfy these jerk would be for Mueller to replace his team with members of the Federalist Society who donated bigly to Trump.

Here’s the bigger picture on Cornyn & his GOP buddies:

  1. The GOP existentially rewards its donors. See the Tax Bill.
  2. Russian donors contributed over $10 million to GOP PACs and campaign coffers. See Ruth Day’s great piece yesterday in the Dallas Morning News.
  3. Ergo the GOP rewards its Russian donors.
  4. Ergo Trump-Russia is not simply a question of election meddling but of a government whose loyalty to our country and constitution is qualified by its existential loyalty to a hostile foreign power.

(And that’s not even getting into the de facto Russia-GOP alliance in 2016 or, more recently, in relation to the FCC’s termination of net neutrality. Or, looking ahead, to the 2018 and 2020 elections.)

Republican partisan claims an investigation against HIS guy is partisan.

The wave of bullshit Mueller is dealing with must be staggering.

Traitors. Every goddamn elected Republican in office. Traitors, all of them.

Cornyn responded with “But Mueller needs to clean house of partisans.”

I assume that “partisans” means any FBI agent who ever contributed to, voted for, or knew a Democrat but Cornyn could actually be magnanimous and exclude partisans on both sides of the political aisle. At that point the FBI could not investigate anything that had any political implications which would pretty much shutter the agency.

That’s what fivethirtyeight.com says. It may be hard to have faith today and in the coming days that Ds will prevail but the signs and the momentum are in place. Oh, and donnie has a 57.5 disapproval rating.
